Ryzex Announces Key Partnership for Northwest Swap

Bellingham, WA — Ryzex today announced that it is a key sponsor of Norka Recreation's first ever May 6, 2005 "Great Northwest Swap." Organizers say proceeds from the Swap—a recreational equipment and exchange—will benefit several local nonprofits. Norka Recreation says they hope to make the event an annual Whatcom County attraction. Ryzex is participating by donating its consulting services and barcode equipment to track and inventory every item.

"We look for community sponsorships that align themselves with children and our environment," said Rud Browne, Ryzex Founder and CEO. "It is rare that we can find an opportunity where we can combine our business with both of these two categories. We are pleased to partner with Norka on this event—it's just a great fit for Ryzex by combining our charitable guidelines with the use of our technology. The Swap is being put on by Norkia Recreation and will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club at 1715 Kentucky Street in Bellingham. Admission is $2 for adults, $3 for families; kids 12 and under are free. In addition to several corporate sponsors, the public is invited to either rent booth space in advance or to drop off their gear to be sold in a consignment area. Drop off hours are Friday May 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
